Below, find everything you need to set your student up for success this school year. We can't wait to see you for our first day on Tuesday, September 1, 2026!

School Registration

Coming in July, families can complete their school registration to ensure student records are up-to-date for the 2026-27 school year. Keep your eyes on your email for a message from the District via PowerSchool to complete the Registration Packet later this summer.

PTA TK/K Play Date

Stop by Hollyglen Park (5255 137th St. in Hawthorne) to meet new friends and families.  Hollyglen PTA representatives will be present to answer questions. (This is a PTA-sponsored event.)

School Year's Eve

4:30pm - 6:00 p.m.

 

Stop by the evening before school starts to find out your child's teacher and practice walking to your classroom. Classrooms will not be open, but you can walk the campus.

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

PTA Meeting

5:00 - 5:30 p.m.

 

Visit with our teachers and staff, preview the year ahead, and consider joining the PTA meeting to get involved this year.

School Supplies

All Grades

  • Sturdy backpack large enough to hold a folder and a library book
  • Water bottle with student's name labeled
 
All other school supplies will be provided by the school site, but the following items are helpful to provide: 

TK Supplies

  • Extra pack of clothes for any accidents
  • No additional supplies needed!

Kinder Supplies

  • Wired headphones in a labeled Ziplock bag
  • Crayola crayons (24-pack or more)
  • Pencils (not mechanical; Ticonderoga brand recommended)
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Scissors (Fiskars brand recommended)
  • Glue sticks (Elmers brand recommended)

1st Grade

  • Wired headphones in a labeled Ziplock bag
  • 1 box of Crayola crayons (24-pack or more)
  • 1 pack of #2 pencils (Ticonderoga brand recommended)
  • 1 pair of scissors (Fiskars brand recommended, pointed tip)
  • Glue sticks (Elmer's brand recommended; 3-pack or more)
  • 1 plastic pencil box w/lid (approx. 8" x 5 ")

2nd Grade

  • Wired headphones in a labeled Ziplock bag
  • 1 box of Crayola crayons (24-pack or more)
  • 1 pack of #2 pencils (Ticonderoga brand recommended)
  • 1 pair of scissors (Fiskars brand recommended, pointed tip)
  • Glue sticks (Elmer's brand recommended; 3-pack or more)
  • Ruler (with inches & centimeters)
